i do. i can hear enough political bs everywhere else, i'd rather not bring it hear too. one of my favorite things about the dead is how they almost never brought politics into the music. if people want to talk bout politics there are thousands of other sites to do it on.

true, but i choose to frequent this one

i'm not a big fan of censorship. one can always ignore a thread or simply not respond to a post.

i believe conversation going into ANY election is a good thing. it just might help negotiate through the 'b.s.'

i guess we'll agree to disagree.

hope your enjoying a peaceful sunday.

Truth be told, this group recently voted politics off the board as an appropriate topic, unless directly related to the Dead. Democracy in action! It became clear that as fans we all have common ground, but as political pundits aren't nearly as well informed or as kind.

You can certainly "stir it up" here, but I'll make a personal guarantee that you'll be disappointed in any attempt to find a consensus among heads regarding political issues. I would even go so far to say that many of the voices represented here are extremely atypical in terms of the outside worlds stereotype of Deadheads political views.

trust me, i'm not try to stir things up. just offering an opinion and support to the initial post. someone else summed it up on this forum - ' i didn't know there were rules'.

i'll respect the wishes of the majority and wave the white flag on this issue.

Er, Um, Uh...Doc, I would think that one with such power (Oprah) should be just a little more in touch with the widely varied political outlook of his constituents. Nevermind the lessons learned prior on this very board regarding the subject of politics.

In the game of politics it's not such a stretch between "All Hail" and "Aw Hell."
